Function :
As Pre-sales Engineer you support the sales by performing the following activities:
- Proactively and independently support sales of Storage infrastructure (HW & SW)
- Develop activities to extend the existing customer portfolio and to raise the turnover
- Explain the proposed technical solution to the customer and demonstrate the value of this solution by means of your experience and knowledge
- Advice customers concerning storage questions
- Design Data Center solutions and translate solution designs to tenders.Be involved in the transfer to the delivery teams.
- Answer to RFPs
- Maintain frequent contacts with customers and suppliers
- Identify and translate recent developments in the market to (new) solutions
- Engage with the services department to further develop the services portfolio and defend the services quotes at our customers
- Storage solutions include:
• Storage and server consolidation (SAN/NAS)
• Storage and server virtualization
• Data protection
• High availability
• Backup
• Disaster recovery and archiving
- Within the company you will be the technical contact for all storage questions from our customers and prospects.
Profile :
- You have at least 5 years of experience in general, and specific 3 to 5 years in the storage marketplace
- You have a university degree in IT, engineering or commercial engineer. An economic background is considered a plus
- You have a thorough understanding of customer’s business needs which allows you to easily identify customer pains to spot opportunities for Data Center Solutions
- You have the necessary presentation skills, and can position your solution in a professional way in 3 languages (NL/FR/EN).
- You are fluent in these 3 languages and have excellent writing skills in your mother tongue and English.
- You are able to work both fully autonomous and in a team, and you have excellent organizational skills to organize your own work
- You feel at home in an entrepreneurial environment
- By means of your technical nature, you will want to propose the right technical solution within the necessary timeframe, respecting any deadlines.
- The most important partners are: EMC, Cisco, Symantec, Legato, HP, SUN, Microsoft and VMWare.
